How to set my car in TPMS re-learn mode?
Make the gear in P position.
Use cruise to choose TPMS re-learn mode in the dashboard settings.
Horn will ring once and TPMS indicator flashes, then learning mode has been entered successfully. If equipped, the message center will display the front left (LF) tire.
For Ford series vehicles
Make the gear in P position.
Ignition switch to OFF, press and release the brake pedal.
Turn ignition switch from OFF position to RUN position 3 times and end at RUN position.
Depress and release the brake pedal.
Ignition to OFF position.
Ignition goes from OFF position to RUN position 3 times and ends at RUN position.
Horn will ring once and TPMS indicator flashes, then learning mode has been entered successfully. If equipped, the message center will display the front left (LF) tire.
How to use ?
Set the car in TPMS learning mode. (car horns twice)
Starting relearn process from left front tire, point antenna on correct position. Press & release power button. Once the speaker chirped, move to the next tire.
Follow this order to rest TPMS sensors: Front Left - Front Right - Rear Right - Rear Left.
After all sensors are reset, the car horns twice means TPMS relearn finished.
When you need ?
After new tpms sensors installed,let air out or add air into the tire but couldn't make the system recognize new sensors.
Do tire rotation or replace tires but don't have a quick and easy way to let ECU relearn new tire information.
Low tire pressure or leakage /replacement or installation of tire pressure monitoring equipment / tire replacement, sensor damage, etc. After those problems solved, TPMS needs to be reset.
When tire pressure indicator light ON, the maintenance performed, the tire pressure needs to be reset to turn off the TPMS light.
GM and Ford vehicles use different reset modes and it also different ways of using.
For Ford

When used in GM, the TPMS antenna should be parallel to the sensor, and then press the button to reset, while for Ford, the TPMS antenna should be perpendicular to the sensor, and then press the button to reset.
When using TPMS Relearn Tool, please make sure your antenna in correct position.
When switching modes, you need to press and hold the button for 2-5 seconds to switch modes.
